   County Training includes New York State and County offered classes only.   

Signed Chief's Authorization form required for each class before the start of the class.

Original Signed Chief's Authorization form required for all classes. EOC must receive the original signed form.
Forms are signed by the Chief ONLY. Faxed or E-Mailed copies of form will not be accepted.

All classes must meet the minimum number of qualified participants in order to take place. Call EMO to sign up at least 10 days prior to the start date of class.

There is a pre-paid course fee associated for all non-Rural/Metro
employees unless the course is a required component of the
Rural/Metro Pilot Recertification "Core Session" training for your level
of certification.  You must identify that at the time of registration.

FEMA Independent Study Program:
IS-700 National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction

This course introduces NIMS and takes approximately three hours to complete. It explains the purpose, principles, key components and benefits of NIMS. The course also contains "Planning Activity" screens giving you an opportunity to complete some planning tasks during this course. The planning activity screens are printable so that you can use them after you complete the course.

FEMA Independent Study Program:
IS-100 Introduction to Incident Command System, I-100

ICS 100, Introduction to the Incident Command System, introduces the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the foundation for higher level ICS training. This course describes the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System. It also explains the relationship between ICS and the National Incident Management System (NIMS).

FEMA Independent Study Program:
IS-200 ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents

ICS 200 is designed to enable personnel to operate efficiently during an incident or event within the Incident Command System (ICS). ICS-200 provides training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a supervisory position within the ICS.

IS-100 is a pre-requisite to the IS-200 course.

FEMA Independent Study Program:
IS-800 National Response Plan (NRP), An Introduction

This course introduces you to the NRP, including the concept of operations upon which the plan is built, roles and responsibilities of the key players, and the organizational structures used to manage these resources. The NRP provides a framework to ensure that we can all work together when our Nation is threatened.

The course is designed for DHS and other Federal department/agency staff responsible for implementing the NRP, as well as State, local and private sector emergency management professionals.
