Firemen's Greased Pole Challenge

Orleans County 4-H Fair wants to start a new event at the fair-The
Fireman's Greased Pole Challenge! The Greased Pole Contest is a legendary
battle to race up a 20 foot, vertical pole slathered with black grease.
Teams of up to ten test their muscle, speed, and teamwork in front of
hundreds of supportive and enthusiastic fans.

On Tuesday, July 25, 2006, starting at 9:00 or 10:00 PM the Fair would
like to host an inter-department challenge for all firemen and women.  It
would be great opportunity for our community to see our county's finest in
action! The winning team gets cash prizes plus a chance to compete on
Saturday night for the Greased Pole Championship, cash prize, and most
importantly, bragging rights.  There is an entry fee of $25 per team, and
you can have up to ten people on a team.

If you're ready to take on the Greased Pole and your fellow fire
